SKACD’s Motor, Hearing, and Vision department is composed of physical therapists, occupational therapists, teachers of visually impaired students, hearing impairment teachers, and assistants. These professionals work with teachers and students with sensory and motor impairments in order to create more accessible learning environments. These specialists often work collaboratively with academic instructors in order to create Individualized Education Programs for students with sensory, cognitive, and learning disabilities.
The Motor, Hearing, and Vision department often makes recommendations for assistive technology in order to increase accessibility for physically impaired students.
